United States Girevoy Sport Federation (USGSF) was founded in 2003 by Dmitri Sataev. The purpose of USGSF is to popularize traditional Russian Girevoy Sport (G.S., kettlebells) as well as non-traditional physical exercises and events utilizing the kettlebell as a strength and conditioning tool. The Giri (kettlebell), when in the hands of an expert can demonstrate the unique power-potentials of man.
USGSF also over sees the development of world class G.S. athletes to represent the United States in international arenas. Girevoy Sport (G.S.) training and other non-traditional training has always been popular in Russia. USGSF's goal is to introduce and lead the development of the Girevoy Sport (Russian Kettlebells) in the United States. The Girevoy Sport tempers true muscular character and trains excellent resolute qualities. One can infinitely list the merits of this sport. However, Girevoy Sport is open to people of all ages, all genders, at all fitness levels. USGSF is also part of the International Federation of Girevoy Sport (IGSF). |

Coach Dmitri Sataev is the founder and President of USGSF (founded in 2003) and has over 35 years (15 years in Russia and over 20 years in the United States) of experience as a trainer in Powerlifting, Olympic Weightlifting, Body Building, and traditional Russian Girevoy (Kettlebell) Sport.
Dmitri's vast multi-disciplined experience provides for expert coaching, training, and conditioning to his clients and students (both professional athletes and non-athletic people). Dmitri is not just an active competitor in Girevoy Sport but is also a World Class GS Athlete! Dmitri, two years in a row, finishes with the best result in LC in the World for his age and weight division! |

Coach Elena Sataeva is the General Manager of Russian Kettlebell Academy, which is the home of the USGSF. She has over 15 years of experience as a personal trainer. Elena is still an active competitor in Girevoy Sport. Here are the few of her achievements:
MSIL (Master of Sport International Level),
Coach Elena, at the age of 45 is currently the only woman in the world to attempt this feat: 1000 repetitions of the Free-Style Jerk with a 16kg kettlebell in 1 hour and 14 minutes without stopping (Guinness Book of World Record Holder - December 26, 2006). See the video below. December 19, 2010 finished "1000 Reps Freestyle Long Cycle Christmas Chalenge" with 1005repetitions in 2hr 5min. On November 7, 2011 in Italy, Elena Sataeva became the World Champion in Girevoy Sport (Competitive Russian Kettlebells) for the second time. Her hard work payed off. She also set a new World Record in Snatch in her division. |
